faceboo Callisto, Mumbai uses SGG Cool-Lite, Solar Control Glazing

CALLISTO

Callisto is designed by the world-renowned Sanjay Puri Architects and executed by Vibrant Homes LLP. Located in Mumbai, it has been developed to be an amalgamation of both luxury and sustainability. Sanjay Puri is appreciated globally for his commitment to creating contextual and sustainable design solutions. Callisto is very much a representation of this design aesthetic and responsible architecture.

Sprawled over 19 storeys, Callisto brings luxurious 2,3 and 4 BHK semi-furnished apartments. At the heart of its spaces, are state-of-the-art amenities, advanced security systems, a thriving ecosystem and social infrastructure. Among Callisto's USPs is its compliance with sustainability standards; it is pursuing the Green Homes Certification by The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for sustainable practices and solutions to reduce the environmental impact.

Today, new-age buildings are increasingly adhering to sustainability metrics and Callisto is no different. In helping Callisto reach its goal of delivering sustainable spaces, Saint-Gobain has an integral role to play. The project has extensively used SGG Cool-Lite solar control glazing for its facades and windows, meeting the twin objectives of aesthetics and functionality at once.

SGG Cool-Lite is a high-performance advanced coated glass manufactured by magnetron sputtering process under vacuum conditions. It provides optimum light transmission, allowing natural daylight into the interiors, reduces glare and minimizes the need for artificial lighting. The perfect blend of light transmission, minimum visual glare and UV protection, while keeping the aesthetic appeal intact - are its biggest plus points. The neutral colour of the glass used in the project has a slight Grey tint that makes sure it is in line with the rest of the building's aesthetic.

Using SGG Cool-Lite has also ensured that Callisto is in alignment with the metrics of Spatial Daylight Autonomy (SDA) and Annual Sunlight Exposure, which have a significant impact on energy use – improving beneficial daylight, minimizing direct sun exposure and reducing energy use. With Saint-Gobain's glazing solutions, Callisto has enabled its customers to come one more step closer to sustainability.
